Kid developed bursitis, probably as aftermath of the bike collision we had 13 days ago.
Won't anti-inflammatory meds or shot do something for her?
First action is rest (only walking a very little bit, to keep the hip supple) and double painkillers, paracetamol/tylenol for pain, naproxen for pain and anti-inflammatory reasons.
Because it is an acute bursitis, caused by trauma, doctor has hope it will improve well, and won't last long.
If a fever would come on top of this, she'd get anti-biotics.
If it lasts too long, there will be physiotherapy before they even think of giving her a shot.
I had longer lasting bursitis in my hip after the oldest was born. Physiotherapy worked really well.
