They sometimes try, I'll grant them that much, but in general yanks take to the english language like cephalopoda takes to bicycling.

Mmmm, bugger.. yesterday my mother had a medical inspection, a check up, and today the results came in. Bad news.. she has cancer in her bowel system.

Again we are going to battle this nasty disease.. and frikkin' win.. again.

^ Thanks. She is a strong/tough woman though.. mentally too. She always keeps hope.. that's a good character trait to have.. with this shittiest of diseases.

Cooked for her this evening and we talked quite a bit. Mea incluis but but.. she's amazingly calm. Way more than I. That gives me confidence as well.

I'm going to be a 'care-provider' again the coming months..

It sounds like you both have a positive outlook which should help the emotional outcome. What stage is the cancer? Can it be easily removed with surgery?

Thanks for sympathetic words, guys. Appreciated.

Don't know what stage the cancer is in.. there will be more tests (CT-scan on Monday, blood results in, etc) next week. Hope it's in an early stage and that surgery will be sufficient.. but that's wishful thinking.
