Mentally fried and wanting to run away for awhile.

Been on the phone for 2 days trying to straighten out a mess with mom's insurance (hospital billing dept started calling Mon).

Not looking good, should be getting slammed with bills shortly.

You wouldn't be held personally responsible for your mother's medical bills unless you signed a paper agreeing to be responsible for them, but they would be paid out of her estate.  If you own the house with your mother as joint tenants with rights of survivorship, then the house passes to you without going through probate and the creditors can't get it.

We had a big storm through here, there were fallen tree branches and everything all over the place when I got home.

I injured a muscle in my butt in February and it still hurts from time to time, like today.  It's bad enough to make me walk with a limp.  I hope it's going to heal and not become a chronic problem that will still be bothering me in my 70's.

I had to sign all the papers upon admittance, as she was unable to do so. Not alot with the estate really, & mom didn't have life insurance. The house is joint thankfully.

I'm sure it will all work out, might take awhile though.

You can always pull the old, "It's merely an old war wound, my dear.  Fighting in the jungle can be beastly," line with all the young girls when you're 70.   Who knows, someone might even buy you a beer.
