Mum collected a couple of tubs of really nice moss for me to use in my vivaria. Unfortunately, she collected some of it from the area around the cellar door at her partner's house, and the moss had flakes of paint in it from stuff that had peeled and chipped off of the door over the years. The door has a couple of layers of paint on it, and the bottom layer is potentially old enough to contain lead. Since the moss was all mixed together in the tubs, I have to treat the whole lot as being potentially contaminated with lead.
