TBH, the struggle over the phone, gettting my doctor's appointment and subsequent diagnosis, having his assistant to write out the proper letters, filling out all the necessary release of info forms, everyone else faxing everything to each other, my sitting, fidgeting constantly while all this was mostly done for me by those who know what to do was NOT nearly as annoying and horrid as I had imagined it might be.
As of two days after the process began, my disability pay had already begun, effective the following day of being forced on leave.
I feel like I have been given a great gift of time, with the promise from my big boss that MY job will be waiting for me when I return.
Some skepticism remains, but I have a trust for the man, that I can not rationally defend.
