Doc was Thursday, did bloodwork.
All is like perfect and super healthy, except for one troubling marker involving my pancreas and tri- and diglycerides.
Doc wants me back in and I'm to fast for twelve hours prior. She wants to do specific things to my system to stress and identify trouble.
Tests are to take six hours, but when done I will either be Type II diabetic or as for the past thirty years, still borderline, but no action required.
I've done this before, but old doc retired and new doc wants to max out my insurance.
I have things to do, so I am thinking of giving her the finger and asking for another assessment of my bloodwork.
I have literally been on the cliff of Type II Diabetes since I was thirty something.
My body seems to be still handling things. Huge diglycerides seem to scare the fuck out of young doctors, but I have always had this.
Don't think a six hour starving test is warranted.
How about the fact that I eat ten times the amount of salt that most folks eat (German heritage, many salted meats!) and that number is normal? My cholesterol is high, but really high GOOD, with almost no BAD.
I'm not really interested in more testing. Fuck that! I feel better than I have in times passed.
