Just find it really annoying how the sound on the tv goes all weird when I am watching it by myself. When parents are here, it is fine.

Seriously, have you tried unplugging it for three minutes, then plugging it back in again?  For some reason, that works on our TV when the sound turns itself off.

Well, when I turned it on last night it didn't work properly, so I turned it right up to hear it. Then the sound came on properly and was really loud so I hurried to turn it down again. Parents are home now and it hasn't happened since. :-\
