I understand what you were trying to say. You didn't offend me; at first you made me uncomfortable, then you annoyed me.  I can only hope I've made you equally uncomfortable and annoyed, so you might anticipate my future reaction to discussing other members so extensively in third person. Maybe I haven't been clear enough. I'll try one last time. I don't want to discuss what you think of him, or discuss what you believe I should think about or do to him, or discuss your motives for talking to him, or discuss his motives for talking to me. Yet here you are insisting on telling me once again. Yes, I made it about you, because you were addressing me directly and making it about him, no matter what I say or how I say it. You may see yourself as coming to my defense, but he hasn't done anything to me, so it looks like you simply don't want to allow him to have a normal conversation with me, and it looks that way because you're encouraging me to interact with him the way you do, and telling me over and over and over what you think about him.
