"Very Pink Knits" is pretty good with tutorials. Her basic knitting tutorial is not in continental style. It is easier to start the English way, because it shows more clear what you are doing with the yarn. Helps to understand how to "read" the knitting.
First it will be a hassle with some language fit for a lady with double pointed objects in her hands.
But if you spend five to ten minutes daily, it will grow on you fast enough. Soon you'll be able to do it without even watching.
