Back to the lighter stuff.....I hope my nanaimo bars turn out today. Using my Grandmother's recipe. making these today but in mini muffin tins since we're making them for the little one's class.

Bad girl, bad girl for posting this.

I'm thinking they turned out really yummy and are tiny and bitesized. But they don't look very pretty so I think I'll put them in little decorative mini muffin liners since I just inducted myself into the Mommy Olympics.

Am also quite pleased with the way microwaving that potato turned out.

Potatoes in the microwave are really good.

Potatoes and microwaves go together like bacon and frying pans.

I started cooking my bacon in the oven. It turns out perfect every time. I started doing it only because I have just one frying pan so if I'm making eggs, the bacon can be cooking in the oven while the eggs are cooking on the stove.

We cook  :bacon:  in the oven at work, too, since we cook so much of it at once.

I hardly ever eat bacon, but it's nice on the very rare occasions when I do have it.  I've got 2 microwaves so that I can cook things in multiple parts, doing the meat, veg and potatoes separately.  Having just one microwave is like having a cooker with just one hob; it's not very convenient if you do a lot of microwave cooking.
