No, they use a variety of methods to decaffeinate coffee but not chlorine.  They used to use benzene to decaffeinate coffee which is what I think you must have meant.

I just checked for you and the decaffeinated coffee that I drank was NESCAFÉ, which was decaffeinated with a "natural water decaffeinating process."

Although there are numerous ways to decaffeinate coffee, NESCAFÉ uses a natural water decaffeinating process to retain the smooth taste and aroma that is unique to NESCAFÉ. That means, with NESCAFÉ decaff, you'll get the same full coffee flavour that you'd expect.

Or, maybe be firm, and just give her less.

Takes some time, but, they do get used to that, especially when you do it gradually.

Wet cat food twice a day plus dry...maybe she needs something extra and trying to get it, I don't know, but she's a chronic case of 'I want food' or 'I want play' or 'I want to be picked up' when she isn't sleeping. I give them a grass gel supplement and multivitamins too.
