About the word 'mademoiselle' officially being banned in France now. It 'stated' the difference between a woman not being married (mademoiselle) and a woman that is married (madame). Feminists argued that it stated something about someone's private life.. unnecessarily so.. and that men never had to officially..

Well, I'm not thinking about it any more now. Kinda moved on.. :P

Yes the feminists here chose to call themselves 'Ms'  instead of 'Miss' or 'Mrs'   I think it sounds silly.  I will always be a 'Miss' :moon:

 I'm pissed at the cable company for the lousy sound and picture quality of many of my
 TV channels.  I would never consider buying my phone and internet service from them!  :grrr:

i remember in my french classes that madam and mademoiselle was more about age and not marital status. i mean you live right next door im sure you know more than me, but i always thought it wasnt about being married and you become a madam when you turn about 30

and banning ? psh, nonsense. ill call the bitch a sloppy seabass dykeface. lets see them ban me for that.

If you should ever see Queen Elizabeth's marriage certificate, it lists her as "spinster."  If it was good enough for her, then it was good enough for me to use when I was single.  Funny though, how it made men uncomfortable to hear the word.
