I almost spit out my drink at the "seance" part, lol.

Do men really still spend money like this on their women?  Like, for serious, this is still supposed to be normal?

It's normal to not want to sit next to your partner at a restaurant unless it's valentine's day?  Groping is more difficult when you're not sitting side-by-side.  Not sure that really needs to be romantic to have an upside, let alone happen on vday.
