Gonna change my display name again when I reach 2500 posts. I have one in mind. It won't be that much different.
Will you change your avatar as well?  Hurry up and post!   :asthing:

I wish I had finished all I had to do for the operation earlier in the week.  Only a lilttle bit left, but it's an annoyance.

He is home, with his ankle encased and elevated.  Still no feeling from the knee down (popeital block) and I've given him a pain pill.  He's watching TV.  Whistling, so at least for the now things are good.

Didn't get the hallway cleared at all, got 90+% of the bedroom cleared out and the beds rearranged to give him better access (will feel funny not sleeping next to him but from across the room) and all of the car cleared out.

The PR is staying the afternoon and early evening with an honorary aunt so she's coping rather well.  I managed to leave PA alone for about an hour while I got his pain Rx filled and had lunch.  And I bought some pain medication for me - Port.

Did they tell him to ice the foot off and on especially for the first 48 hours?

I did that after my ankle surgery and I think it helped with swelling and pain.

No, they didn't.  It's such a thick cast padding and wrap that I don't think cold would penetrate much.  He's to elevate it above his heart (keeping is slightly elevated is the best he can manage while watching TV).  Husbands do tend to be subborn.

It's a pity I can't try this:

Oh, god, I think. Which is worse, that I look like a robot or that it turns him on?
OH MY GOD I SO TOTALLY WANT TO DO SOMETHING LIKE THIS SOMEDAY

I made a pact with a friend of mine awhile back that if I reach 40 and we're both single we're fucking with at least one of us hooked up to an EEG machine.  Neither of us was totally joking.

That would be interesting. You would have to be careful though as the electrodes come off pretty easily, heh.

When I had my ankle surgery, they put cold water packs inside the cast padding and I hooked them up to a cooler with a pump inside, which would go through a big bag of ice in a day.

Maybe you could get yourself into a study where people fuck/masturbate inside an MRI machine.

Someone would have to figure out a way to keep the participant's heads stable for an fMRI of brain activity during sex, but it's currently possible to do fMRI for masturbation.

But it is hard enough to get one person inside an MRI machine, let alone two. How would that work? In my experience, an MRI machine was like a really small tunnel.

That second link - would have been fun to be a participant in that experiment.

It's not as fun if it's just masturbation.
