Now I'm torn between two pre-loved lounges! One is a lovely retro camel suede Tessa two seater, and the other is a mocha brown plain leather two seater.
The mocha brown sofa is nice on the eye but it's like concrete to sit on. Plus the owners stuck these two planks of (presumably) hardwood to the bottom to boost height. That means it's gonna weigh a tonne and I'll need two or even three people to help me get it home.. I'm still considering it out of guilt because the owners are old and their daughter who I've been dealing with on FB is lovely, I don't want to feel bad for wasting their time lol.
The Tessa two seater is very comfy to sit on and looks clean and tidy, apart from some fading on the back and it smells like dog. It suits my space so much though. It will go fabulous with the tan bean bag I have to use as an accent chair.
I was ashamed of our dark brown (yuck) recliners. My chair had its innards exposed, foam falling out and mechanisms visible. Plus Liam the cat had done a fair bit of damage sharpening his claws on it. Kayleigh's was going downhill fast - the seat itself was collapsing. I don't know how she put up with it.
So I saw a two seater brought into the Salvos, black with two cup holders and a central console to put stuff in (not the cat, though he likes it in there). I fluffed around undecided until a coworker said that if I bought it, she would organise delivery. Since that involved phone calls I didn't want to make, I said it was a deal.
So it was nearly a week later that we got our chairs (the delivery guy was really busy and only worked part-time). They had to be tipped up on the end to get through the front door. The old chairs are now in the backyard until our next junk out the front.
I think the Tessa one sounds better apart from the dog smell. Freeze?
