but, seriously...
I just watched while a three foot in diameter maple tree was dispatched. It fell for "no reason (except that it was very old and had become diseased)" and blocked the road where I live. We heard it fall and had no idea what that "giant" sound was.
It fell my way and came about two feet from my garage. There were seven cop cars there, maintaining "order" waiting while the street department showed up. Funny thing; it took twenty five minutes for the first street department truck to show up.
Meantime, I met my new neighbors and had a conversation while we took pics of the OLD tree blocking the road. They had only lived there for thee months when they have to deal with this. They seem cool, though. Nice to have decent neighbors, really.
... but seriously, if they can laugh this shit off, then they just might be as cool as they seem.
