... but two is unique!  It is two.  Exploring its squares, cubes and the reciprocals of each is even more fun. Unless you work in an environment which makes you think in terms of squares or inverse squares or cubes or inverse cubes, constantly.

With such a job, one forgets that two is so unique and even denies it even status, until one thinks a bit, but it  IS the thinking a bit that causes the confusion.

We fixed the auditorium curtain. Took us all night since scaffolding was required to climb the 7 metres straight up.



It's sort of a festival tradition, this. I run about 60 shows in ten days, so the curtain gets a workout and any weaknesses from a lack of use are exposed. It last happened two years ago.

It's prepackaged and still sealed, so I can assume the gluten-free candy my psycho mother sent me probably isn't poisoned, right?

It looks like she assembled this package with the loving-mom-please-let-me-back-in-your-life personality, not the fuck-you-for-not-speaking-to-me-anymore-you-ungrateful-impossible-brat personality.

Because its current owners are monumental idiots who do everything in their power to destroy the place. I can't stand watching the destruction. That cinema has been my obsession for almost 30 years.

They don't particularly like me either, but projectionists of the old school--who know how to run 35 and 70 mm shows--are very hard to come by so when there is a 35 mm show, they need me. Clicking Play is easier and any idiot can do it, which they've proven a couple of times lately.

If the urge is there, don't resist it. You don't have to publish it. But, if it is good, it would be a pity not to publish.
