I have the strangest urge to go see the Barbie movie tonight

Now as an old lecher, I love the actress they cast for the Barbie part.

It supposedly has a deeper gender politic related message in the movie there somewhere, but I'm predicting it might be too simplistic. "Successful independent woman good, patriarchy bad, m'kay", or something along those lines.

Yes. I'm only doing the quarterly BAS and tax returns etc, but the bookkeeping has to be correct for the BAS and returns to be correct. So far that has involved me going in and fixing heaps of stuff in the bookkeeping side. Add on top of that the incompetency of my new workmates who missed all the bookkeeping errors in the quarters before I came along.

I'm getting along with everyone there. The old dude that runs the place is going downhill cognitively though. I guess we'll see happens but I don't see myself there long term.

I would rather hide in my basement tonight, probably clean cages... watch anime, hangout with Yoshi... avoid the "game night"

I'd expect the movie to be worth watching.
