I'm thinking that it would be cool to be logged in at the same time as another member.  Never seems to happen.  :bigcry:

I thought my toe would be a vivid shade of purple because it still hurts quite a bit. But no. Now it looks normal. Maybe I'm just a big wuss with a low pain threshold.
Toes are very sensitive because they have so many nerve endings.  :orly:
Like fingers?

Exactly like fingers.  :indeed:

This year is going to be interesting emotionally and memory wise.   :-\

I've been too manic since yesterday... now I'm just too depressed because I keep bashing myself with the insults of an idiot, retard, etc.

This is a message board, not a ouija board  :zombiefuck:

Note to self......When you have the winter blahs big time, you should NOT, I repeat NOT be reading books about the trial and tribulations and horrific tragedies of early polar explorations.  Put the books down on the bottom of the reading pile and wait till summer.  You will thank me later.  Now go read something warm and soothing like the history of a volcanic disaster in a tropical part of the world.  Atta Boy! :P

Watching the Super Bowl beginning and I was blown away by the Chris Stapleton solo electric guitar rendition of the National Anthem.  It was soulful, proud, yet beautifully understated.  Great style, not blown out to ear splitting levels by mariah carey wannabes.  People were actually crying while he was playing it.  Soulful!  The best I have ever heard and that says a lot. 8)

Wondering about my screen's contrast ratio.

Should I be?

Mine has some kind of "smart" ambient light intensity correction built in that changes the parameters of the display when the lights in the room change.
Fortunately, I can disable it.

I keep mine locked in my own preferred manual setting that is pleasant to my eyes, at my distance, with my normal, diffused ambient lighting.
If something too "off" comes up, I either tolerate it for a minute or click past it.

It's me getting fixated on things, wondering if my Linux box is outputting a less contrasty image than the client laptop.

It's what I do.

Enjoying my walks even more lately.  Watching the birds bouncing thru the trees and bushes.  Mostly Chickadees and Junco's, with the occasional male cardinal and bluejay.  Sometimes I even spot a Hawk circling over head, or hear it's call in the distance. 8)
