A rare gem: Mia Wasikowska
« on: August 07, 2013, 02:06:23 AM »
Not terribly beautiful in photographs, but incredibly beautiful in acting....

My new favourite actress after watching her in Jane Eyre (2011). That movie was incredible- nothing like any of the other Jane Eyre's, and full of surprise (which is quite a feat considering it's been adapted and told so many times). It was also just a nice show to watch, I recommend it.

After watching it I looked up the actress who played Jane (Mia Wasikowska), and found out she also had played Alice in 'Alice', which - as mentioned- was a movie I enjoyed. I now regard her as my favourite actress.

My old favourite is no longer my favourite.

Mia Wasikowska is red-haired (seemingly) and Polish & Australian (I dunno what kind of Australian).

Just look at her hair colour and her eye colour. Beautiful and beautiful acting...

Just watched 'Stoker' (2013).... at first I was like 'ooh aspie girl hot', and then I was like 'damnit....still hot....but damnit'.

This lady is an expert at playing odd autie-like characters. Cool.

Why is it the aspie traits are always associated with psychopathy?

Because it fits the way NT dumbfucks look at things.

In the beginning I was considering showing this to my mom......i figured she could empathise with Nicole Kidman's character.
Then I finished  the movie.

Don't want her with those ideas in her head.

Gawd, she plays such a good aspie character it makes me like the movie, even though I am conflicted about the message.

She's good in every movie I've seen so far!

Jane Eyre
Stoker
Alice
Albert Nobbs

Her looks are growing on me as well. Perhaps my type will shift from black haired irish girls to red-headed slavic girls.

EDIT: Nah, I will always crush on black haired beauties. Perhaps I will now also crushed on light haired slavic beauties...of course, perhaps it will not generalize at all.

ethnically i mean.

There are australians of irish, scottish, greek, japanese, indonesian, aboriginal, indian, pakistani, chinese, etc etc etc etc descent.

Saying someone is australian is about as specific as saying they are human....in terms of ethnicity and heritage.

Well seeing as people born in Australia make up only approx 0.3% of the world's population, saying you're Australian is specific enough for me :P

Like us, they call themselves by the name of their continent, as if they own the whole thing. :P
