Eeyar
« on: May 31, 2011, 05:03:16 PM »
how do you spell it?

I googled "eeyar" but dunno

Is it a word or a phrase?

You know when you say it before you speak, like "eeyar, do you know where my crisps are?" or when you're giving someone something?

does anyone know what I mean and if so, how do you spell it?

Does it mean  "here,"  in some weird Brit dialect?   :nerd!:

"Here you are" when you're giving someone asomething.

"Here you," do you know where my crisps are?

There's probably no proper spelling, because they're not real slang words. Just people shortening the proper words.

I know exactly what you mean.  It is a common saying in the midlands too.

Strange to explain really, as it doesn't just mean 'here you are'  it could
be meant as 'listen up'   you say it before announcing something quite trivial.
like crisps etc.

have no idea how to spell it?  ee yar ?   eee are?  lol
blah blah blah

It is just a lazier way of saying here you are. There you are is also shortened here, like when you give someone something, "There yar." So Australia does have this in common with the UK.

Heya! It is derived and a slang form of "Hey" or "Hey you"
