Good post QV.  :plus:

My mother was a young nurse who
took care of some casualties of this event:

That was a bad one. The worst I have had to deal with was filling sandbags at the Fire Dept when Napa was flooding and helping put out a small field fire by Highway 29 going into Napa one Summer day.

Here is footage from Joplin MO.

Mother Nature is a bitch that we will never be able to harness.
A good monarch is a treasure. A good politician is an oxymoron.

My brain is both uninhibited and uninhabited.

:indeed: When a tornado, volcano or hurricane gets warmed up it's best to get out of the way.

That's my plan if I ever see one. I have seen a couple of 45' to 60' dust devils off of Highway 80 in the Nevada desert that made me a tad nervous.  :zombiefuck:

We get them here but they are small and infrequent compared to other areas.  When I was in college there was one that the edge of was only about 3 blocks from where I lived.  I had come home early with a migraine and slept through it some how.  It took down tons of tress ,a few houses and made a mess of the campus
