The consumption of dog and cat meat, both of which are believed to promote bodily warmth and are thus popular in winter, remains widespread in China despite a surge in popularity as pets.
Someone should tell them they're doing it wrong. To "promote bodily warmth" in the winter, you place the dog/cat ON you, not IN you.
I already knew this, but still....

That whole "promoting bodily warmth in the winter" thing is stupid anyway. It was my mother's reason for making me choke down oatmeal so many winter mornings. Think about it, no matter how hot your breakfast is, it won't STAY hot in your stomach for hours afterward and warm your entire body like a furnace. Don't they have COATS in China?
It just goes to show the huge differences between nationalitiesIt gets me, how they call us 'uncivilized', and they call us 'barbarian's' Do they not have pet's in China? i wonder what ??The whole thing is just repulsive to me, eating cat's and dog's, they are the uncivilized ones, methinks.how come there are no doggy smilies??
