New road trip

This years quick trip will be to Florida and will be a 3-4 day affair filled with driving fun
I have agreed to drive my brother's dog to my mother's house in Sarasota Florida from his in Roscoe NY.
It's about a 24 hour trip driving straight though non stop.  Only staying a day there before coming back but
it seems like fun.  Everyone thinks I am nuts for doing this but I love to drive. Just wondering if anyone else has this type
of obsession with driving and going places just for the ride.  This time it's even better as all
my gas will be paid for and I am receiving a 15 passenger van as payment, it's used but perfect for the flea market
and work.  Feel free to tell me I am nuts or tell of your similar trips.  One thing I will enjoy while there is seeing the town I
lived in from 11-18 which I have not been back to in twenty years

No you aren't nuts -  it sounds pretty cool.  My only tip (as i don't know the states) is make sure you got some
cool tracks to listen to

then ...volume up...and away you go!!  Just give yourself plenty of time so that you can  when you need to!

i have only ever driven to scotland, and drove to amsterdam once,  i loved it

So do I that's why I moved back North when I went to collage my mom, sister and some cousins live there still though.  Florida is full of lunatics as far as I'm concerned so it is a brave place to visit.  Stopping at South of the Boarder on the way back for fire works

That's definitely something I would do. Most of the fun of vacations for me is the travel, if I'm driving/riding. Would prefer to drive instead of fly if given the option.
