I just bought a 1999 Honda Nighthawk 750.  :viking:

I'm picking it up this afternoon.  8)

I'll post pics when I get around to it.  :yinyang:

A 750 Nighthawk technically isn't a "crotch rocket", it's what's known as a Standard Jap bike.  8)

"Crotch Rocket" is a slang term for a Sport Bike.

This is almost exactly like mine, Black.  8)

Hmmm, well, look up Honda 750 Nighthawk on google images and you'll see plenty of pictures of them.

The 750 Nighthawk is just a modernized version of the Honda CB 750 that was introduced in the late 60's.

A real motorcycle for riding not showing off like so many :plus:

Yeah, a bike like this is all the cruiser that a Harley or a Jap Harley copy is, except without the shitty handling.

I cant keep up with a crotch rocket in the corners, but at least it can handle the corners, unlike a Harley.

Jap Standard Bikes are highly under-rated IMO. They're a perfect comprimise between a cruiser and a sport bike. A long range bike that still handles good.

BTW, the gods are conspiring against me to get good pics. The only snapshot I have so far is from my phone,  >:(

One of the best billboards I ever saw was from the early 1970's gas price explosion.  It was a rider on a bike, silhouetted in the red sun with the caption, "Houston to Dallas  $2.48"

That's part of the reason I bought it. To work, 25 miles away and back, with today's gas prices, $4.  8)
