Recreationally it might be, yes. Well, a good thing when you harvest it yourself.. you know what you have (in hands). Going to a dealer for whatever, one never knows what bullshitty crap you'll be getting.

Well, drugs..

Saw a Canada goose having a slumber in a planter outside of Future Shop by the parking lot, completely oblivious to the traffic coming and going.

Don't let CG's cat near it.   :o
Yeah really. She calls that a gift waiting to be delivered to my master after I chomp on it and make it shit itself in pain and despair.
Cats are fun. My cat Guinevere loved interrogating mice and birds.

People sure are calmer when it's (relatively) nice out.

It's not a good idea to take your shirt/blouse off when you eat so you can keep it clean.  Shrimp with lobster sauce and cleavage doesn't go together well.

You're right by stating that Papaver somniferum is an annual plant.. and mine, returning every year again, is obviously not. Well, it is a variant that you could use for making opium.. and I did collect the sap from it's seed pods and smoked it after drying. It's so fucking nice I consider the stuff dangerous myself. Too addictive.. but, must say, it makes one horny as hell. Other great downside of it.. is, that it makes my joins ache really terrible the next day.

Plus think your garden is probably quite clay-ish (polder and all) and poppy-plants tend to like sandy grounds mostly (region BoZ has sand grounds). Um, tiz also a drainage thing. Poppy seed and its young plants are quite vulnerable for moist/wet soil and tend to rot fast. Well, maybe that is why it never did well in your garden. (not sure though)

If you wish to try again.. maybe use a pot or something with an hole in its bottom (no pun).. with a 1:1 mixture of potting soil and regular sand for okay drainage.

(blahiah.. surry)

:D, you could be on to something. I have klaprozen in the back-garden, they always return. And had tried the Papaver somniferum in the front, they were gone quickly. Got heavy "zavel" at the front of my house, and light "zavel" in my backgarden. Also the backgarden still bears tracks of the early pioneering, so it is lighter because of that too.
I can do upside down chocolate moo things!

I have a tiny mouse living in my garden. (okay, yesterday's random observation) Well, it's a really cute little fella. Fast as heck too.

I have several.  :viking:

Well, today's observation is that I have several too. Saw two together a couple of minutes ago. And yeah, you know mice.. 1, 2, 4, 8, 16, 32.. (like them rabbits)

Um, as cute as they are.. I hope they will not enter my place..
