Fireworks show!

Today was the State finals in boys high school baseball. The finals happened at a school about three miles away as the crow flies. I've been driving past it all week wondering why the school speed limit was being enforced when there's no school, but it was the baseball finals all week.

The fireworks show just ended at 10PM. It started about 9PM. It was a high dollar thing for around here for a high school event. Some really big and expensive boomers just went off.

When I heard it start, I was not sure what was going on, but I was able to swivel my bench stool just a bit and watch the entire thing. There is another storm coming and there was lightning during a bit of the show, lighting up the smoke clouds.

That was nice!

The kids I told to fuck off yesterday complained about me on Facebook today. Poor babies.

What a bunch of snowflakes!

It's grown since. There's apparently a thread on FB about a grumpy old man complaining about the kids of today and threatening said kids. Apparently I was screaming. :LMAO:

There's an interesting point to be made, though. That thread apparently has grown-ups taking everything the kids said at face value. They just wanted someplace to be, they say, and the grown-ups assure them they do understand...

I feel like the grumpy old man I am, telling kids to get off my lawn - or the parking lot they spent the midnight hours at, making noise and playing music loud enough to wake up the entire neighbourhood.

In some aspects, I hate having free time, but other times I enjoy it... lately, it's causing me to go into gain instead of lose weight right now :(

On a hot sunny day, I have observed 2 fawns in the back of our townhouse this morning.  And now a grown female deer is browsing in the area in front.  Looks nice and healthy.   8)  And while driving back home from the library this morning a smallish Hawk buzzed right across the front of my car.     I love it when nature asserts herself.

I got the same vibe on a bow hunt with my younger brother-in-law a few years back. He is prolific, I am a beginner. I'm a rifle and shotgun hunter, with long range success on large game. Never turkeys, except by shotgun in a prairie.

Indiana is almost all woods. So, to me, a totally different kind of hunt!

He got his limit in the first hour and I never even took a shot.

But in a group, amazingly intimidating creatures!
