Actually, I’ve just finished Leviticus.

The studies to which I made reference are not a part of any commonly accepted Bible, but rather considered as a part of the Apocrypha and not accteped as "Holy" by Semite nor Gentile.

I know all versions of history are edited and most often, widely accepted historical accounts are only included in Scripture if those writings lead to success in attempts to create a specific cultural following.

Most who have studied the works of the Apocrapha find them just as mystical as most of the Biblical chapters. We each take meaning from them based upon how they sync with our own experiences, just like with the accepted Holy Scriptures.

How does the Apocrypha influence your views of the Bible, out of curiosity?

I feel the Apocrypha works I have found access to simply complete my understanding of some of the history.

Understanding that these people were extremely paranoid and superstitious. Almost anything could be interpretted as a message from God.

I tend to wait for a second message.

It took them fifteen minutes, but now my beloved maple tree is gone.

I was planning to go out and tell them I wanted a few small logs for BBQ wood, but when I ventured out, it was already loaded up and they were going away with my tree.
I was awakened from a rare morning nap by the dog having a meltdown over two big trucks out front. I gathered my wits, threw some pee, got some OJ to drink and my tree was gone by then.

OK, it was never MY tree!  It was planted, by the city twenty years ago, within the city easement which borders our property and every property in this subdivision, but directly in front of my garage windows, shading the western sun from heating my work area.

The fact that it was the most colorful red maple in the neighborhood was not a concern I could make them respect.

They just whacked it down and hauled it away with large machines like it was a small weed in their way.

Tomorrow is the day I go to the BBQ, a social experience due to be either entertaining, or terrifying(?)

Someone down the street had a complete mental breakdown complete with screaming,  yelling, fighting ,    six police cars, EMS and the fire department.  They were taken away after about twenty minutes restrained in an ambulance :zombiefuck: Not sure who they were exactly as I didn't want to go out and look

Another episode of multiple police cars down the road on today's show an old man drives his pickup truck into the marsh and can't get out

Mom is looking for a flash drive to transfer documents to... I know where to find a good stash of them, so that's one thing on the agenda for tonight.
