Judging by the size of the people and surroundings, the tree on the right looks like it's about three times taller than the left. It appears to be a at least six stories high. I don't think I've ever been in the presence of a singular tree that large.
It's one of the pre-existing 100% real Norfolk Pines that have been growing there for like 50 years. A few have been removed over the years due to remodelling of the surrounding town square but that's one of the ones left.
Yes I know it's difficult to decorate a real tree neatly/symmetrically but it looks like they just lassoed the lights onto it.
The council formerly had a fake one that looked like the first picture but the mayor sacked the wrong people and the ex-staff won't tell the council where it's stored
