Almost forgot to mention, while we were out, we drove past our old home.

The city has torn it down and hauled the remnants away, tore out my fabulous birdblind, cut down all my wonderful trees.
It's gone. We knew it was going to happen.
Eight others as well, which makes twelve of the nineteen homes destroyed for this city project. They had originally said sixteen homes, but they have upped it some as they complete plans.
I should take a pic of the pizza place that was a block away from us for all the time we were there. They have yet to tear that place down.
Owners went back and did a giant wall graffiti mural that said "Thanks everyone! Goodbye!" in a kind of psychedelic looking spray paint masterpiece.
We knew it was coming.
