I have rescued another dog, but this time from the alley way behind our house (Old House, still live there). Now our Dog Family is complete already, in my book. Two to be friends to each other, one boy, one girl and done, right?
I have coaxed a lost fluffball running wild near a busy road into my care and bathed and fed her, but I really do not want another dog right now.
Poor thing looked like if you had taken four bags of really dirty cotton balls, painted a nose on one end (can't see her eyes) and made the other end wag. She was pitifully disgusting to look at. AND hungry enough to try to trust me a bit.
I began the process of bringing her back to the beauty she obviously used to know.
I called to talk to the Humane Society to find what I need to do to help them get her back to her owner's home.
They said just drop her off, tell them where she was found and they will scan for a chip and do everything. ?? ?? ??
Problem is that we are already falling for her. But we don't "need" another dog right now. Just putting that out there, but it may already be too late.
