Kira, our newest cat, will eat another cat's vomit. Liam threw up in my bedroom doorway this morning so I put paper towel over it to soak up most of it. When I came home from my walk, Kira was playing with the paper towel and there was no vomit in sight. It was easy to clean the spot where it was.

Thanks Kira, heheh.

I use a sixteen ounce bottle of "Lea and Perrins" every time I brine a pork shoulder roast, about fourteen to eighteen pounds of meat.

Have not had a chance at a feral for a while. Those are usually a bit smaller and almost all lean - need some treatment (like brining and injecting) and slow cooking.

You could tell when it was high tide in the crawlspace I worked on today when the puddles began appearing were it was just damp when we started in the morning

Time to top up my morphine for the time I have to stand up for ages supervising, adjusting, mixing, etc. and then go get to work on a little project of mine.

Something is telling me I ought to complete my spreadsheet too first, but meh, no. The spreadsheet can wait, or perhaps I can work on it when I've gotten things down to 'just let it sit and stew for a few hours', and it'll wait anyhow, it will still be there just the same.

Dammit, I want to get to some actual chemistry! And I have just the thing in mind.

Spreadsheet. Excel?

It's one thing I'm not that great at. At college I had to learn how to make Excel do stuff with formulas. Not very easy.

When I did Chemistry exams at school I used to struggle on the multiple guess section and the short answer section because I never studied and I was always thinking about other stuff during class.

But there was always a section at the bottom of the test, worth 30% of the total mark, called stoichiometry. In hindsight it was the hypercalculia that got me through this section because you didn't really have to know anything other than how to work the numbers. I would always get 30/30 and that kept my marks slightly above average. If I had been as bad at stoichiometry as I was at the rest of the exams I'd have been struggling to even pass.
