It would also be cleaner because you'd clean the black glossy wood way more often than the matte grey finish.

You need two long-haired cats to run up and down them daily.  

The little dustmops do a good job on the dust...but leave cat hair everywhere. Not sure what's worse actually.

Having cats I think. I have to use a lint roller daily as well as sweeping.

I have a couple of those velvet-type lint brushes I go around with for the furniture. I was forever buying refills for the roller.

Roller still works best on clothes though. The tabby always makes sure to shed on the light stuff, and the mostly white one rolls all over anything dark.

Yep, Liam is mostly white and my black stuff pays the price. Molly is half Siamese so her fur just covers everything.

Cheap duct tape works well,  the more expensive stuff not so much it's a bit too sticky
