I really shouldn't be driving to go grocery shopping after an eye exam.  Those pupil dilation drops make me feel like Mr. Magoo driving down the road.

The dogs get extremely depressed every time the youngest leaves to go to her Dad's. The larger one just collapsed into a heap on the floor with one loud, over dramatic sigh accompanying the collapse. The smaller one will go sniff the front door, look out the window to see if she's there, and when she realizes she's not, she collapses into a heap on the kitchen floor. Same routine every time.

Do they visualise how you and the oldest feel?

My dog does that when she feels she isn't getting enough attention

No I don't think so. Dogs in particular are happiest when the whole family is home and my bigger dog is especially bonded to the youngest. She has clearly picked her as her own. She hates it every time she leaves.

Your dog is a big lug as well. It's funny how dramatic they can get isn't it?

My resistance to poison ivy seems to be holding well after having to get logs out of a patch of it

In the supermarket were a few Germans speaking excellent English. Never heard Germans speak English that good before.

Had a normal human conversation with someone who has a huge hate on for me. Not sure what the issue is, but it was weird to be treated like a regular person and not with contempt.

There was a knock on the door the other day. An elderly gentleman was outside, holding a dog, a little furry black thing all wet and scruffy, in his lap and wondering if we could please take care of the dog and find out who she belongs to. He'd found her on his morning walk, clearly lost and miserable. The dog apparently agreed--she rushed inside, running through the place as if she'd lived here all her life, sniffing and investigating everything while furiously wagging her tail.

We fed her and cuddled with her, and eventually took her to the vet. Luckily she was chipped so it was easy to find the owner.

And now I want a dog more than ever. :(

Is there  a reason why you can't get a dog?  :-\

Allergies. :(

I am thinking about getting one anyway. What's a little sneezing or an asthma attack when you're greeted by a dog every morning?

You can always take stuff for the allergies. ;)

I am allergic to cats (we have two) and I rely on Rhinocort to allow me to breathe through my nose when sleeping.

Indeed, and some dogs have dander that you will react less too than others. I'm not allergic to most dogs, but some set my allergies off. Usually hound breeds.

My random observation for the day ~ A group of 15 men in town for a stag who were hilariously drunk and animated last night, are hungover and rather embarrassed this morning when faced with the three women who witnessed their debauchery. And reminded them of it.  :green:
