Spring is upon us, with "pinksterbloemen" (Cardamine pratensis) and bats.
Pity it also comes with bat food, flies and mosquitoes.

I delay mowing my lawn every year, because I love the pinksterbloemen too much to cut them down. They also are a colourful addition to a meal, tasting a bit like watercress.

Last week I had two chances of that. One of those days one of the kids was sick, the other day the other kid.  :violin:

Soon May holidays will be upon us, with stay-over friends of youngest. Hope to get some quiet time before that.

I put my mower on the highest option, mow. Put the blade one bit lower, mow again. Put the blade one bit lower, mow again, this time it is getting harder. Then, if the soil allows me to, I will put the blade at the lowest level, and mow a final time. Often the soil is too soggy to be able to do that though.
