At least you will not be missing the moment that a hot evening cools down, enjoyed with sangria.

I hope so, but, the drinking bit is going to be less than it was before.  The liver becomes less and less able to do it's alcohol detox thing as a man gets older and I hope to be around for a little while longer as to piss off the folks that wrote me off years ago!   :mischief:

Once you get used to drinking way less, small amounts will be a real treat, or maybe you will even stop completely.

The guy that drives the News 12 satellite van lives next to the house I was working on today and it was parked in the driveway all afternoon

It is difficult to find a simple, white gas stove without computer crap.  And the knobs in the front.

Spring fever is in the air...  :eyebrows:

People were acting silly today, including myself.
Can't you guys even just imagine it?

Forget practicality, or your experience....can you just....imagine?

Check the selection online. The basic stuff you almost have to order and have it shipped to store or delivered.

They looked at me like I was crazy when I wanted to look at a coil electric stove, salesman kept steering me over to the glass top models, they had a ton of those to choose from.  Just going to order online when the washer finally bites the dust, whole lot easier.

Nowadays they put them on the side for "safety reasons" so that kids can't reach the knobs. But for not too long grown-up people, those side knobs are a danger. Maybe there is a shop that sells vintage repaired stoves, with warranty.

That is what we were told also  when we looked but instead of the side they are up on the back so you have to reach over the burners to get to them :thumbdn:

And then they tell you you should install a safety rack on the front of the stove, so kids can't get to the pots. How the parent is supposed to reach the pots and cook somewhat comfortable when being shorter than 6 ft is a riddle to me.
