I take it your van has a 1-ton chassis??

Yes it's an Ford E-350 it was made to be a passenger van but I only keep one back seat in mostly for Max who likes to sleep there when I take him out.  It weighs just about 6000lbs empty and has a max of 8400.  It's really going to suck gas tomorrow when I hook up the trailer to it

Too bad those don't come with the 460's anymore. They got 8 mpg whether you were towing or not.   :green:

My old pick up was like that 8-9 mpg trailer on or off it had an 8.1L and more real power than anything else I have driven.  It was a fun truck.  The van has a 351 and drops to about 8-9 mpg when loaded and pulling the trailer from its regular 11-12

With your petrol prices, you can actually drive around with one of those. Here, you'd have to mortgage your house. :orly:

You need to start bringing democracy to the Middle East.

They're not very affordable here, either. :GA:

There are not that many vehicles that can carry a worthwhile payload that get all that much better it's a cost of doing business.  One of my brothers had a little pick up that got over 20 mpg till you loaded it up then it dropped to under 15 and would barely make it up  hills.  At least for me 90% of my mileage is tax deductible as a business expense.

The house is being renovated they come by after everyone leaves and walk around with flashlights and pick up everything that has been dropped of left around unattended  inside or out down to individual nails then leave them in piles with a paper iding them and  asking who the belonged to and  if they want them back.   She also writes almost everything down taking notes on everything you say.
