The volunteers working on the houses where I worked today were great for a change,  most of the time they are just a big pain in the ass

As I grew up with Harry Potter, I never really identified "kids" stuff as immature. In fact at the age I was reading HP I thought most adults were hypocritical morons. Actually...I kind of still do lol. But just because something is for kids does not automatically = no depth.

It's for kids. With depth. :)

Harry Potter didn't come out until I was in my 50's.  So I read it as sensible literature that matured as the protagonist and the original audience matured.  I don't pay much attention to the target age group, just read for the joy of a book or series.  Redwall is pretty good too.

Oo, I'll look into Redwall.

Two of these dragonflies are flying in/above my garden at present.

Fascinating creatures they are.

Yes yes, they are fierce predators in their water 'phase'. I just love their ability to fly about so perfectly.. making acute angles in no time. Or the hovering they do.. lingering in one spot in the air. Brilliant.

How old can they get, I'm wondering now.

Ah!
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dragonfly#Life_cycle

As long as five years in the water in their larval stage.. and only one season out of the water.. according to the wiki article.

Posted a video on I² earlier about the creature. Maybe if I find it again I'll repost it. Was a cool vid..

One day at the park a little dragonfly landed on my arm. I let him sit there for awhile...and then he crawled out of his skin. I never knew they molted like snakes! :)

A lot of people who live at the condos I worked on today smoke pot,  almost every time I work there I smell it at some point during the day

The things you see for free on Craigslist that you wish you had room for.

Looks a little like a modded 250 gallon oil tank.

I like moon flowers too. I think I'll plant some for my mom.
