It's very odd for an east coast cyclone to track WNW. None the less, I hope my brother in Brisbane is preparing.

I hope he's safe.

Kayleigh's family live in Toowoomba and it floods very easily there. I saw it myself years ago and that was just average rain.

As of this evening's track forecast, my brother will literally be in the eye of the storm. It's not flooding I'm worried about at his place, it's the winds.

Even my area like 7 hours south is on flood watch, but I feel that's more precautionary than anything.

Yoshi's been lounging on my bed since I came back home from Starbucks. I shouldn't be too concerned.... should I?

It might upset a few Abeuletas in the area, but that's okay; it's not as uncommon as a Mexican Vegan (I met one at the pharmacy)

Mom thinks it's the end of the world when God comes back, but knowing the cycles of big empires in history, there's due to be a 250-ish year expiration date.

Mandurah (where I live) is having its CrabFest weekend. Last night there were fireworks which didn't impress the cats (or birds outside, a big flock of them flew over our house screaming in indignation). It seems quiet so far today.

I've been working at a memory care home for almost 2.5 years already. In that frame of time, I witnessed a dementia patient go through a period of lucidity at 3 am... that experience I'm always going to remember for the rest of my life.

My day wasn't filled with much variation today. The fact that I'm not working is getting to me, I guess.
