A marquee at a school advertised an open position for unique needs teacher; now wondering if special is no longer pc.

It's intriguing how every few years new terminology pops up as pc.

Here people with a handicap had been transformed into "people with a distance to the job market". Now handicapped and unemployed and elderly are all thrown in the new pc terminology; "the inactive". Any action that does not create money for the person doing the action in the shape of an income is inaction nowadays in the Netherlands.

I've been inactive at work yesterday, I really did a lot.  :M

Wonder what new pc terminology will be invented to describe me, in a few years.

Mince

Only useful to make broth, gelatin and tough boots in a few years, but mince sounds flattering.

Inactive does seem very offensive for a pc term.

I think most pc words come with a political agenda. This one is introduced by the government when they presented new income and tax plans. With the word "inactive" cutting a lot becomes very acceptable.

People are bloody odd. I generally get on with most people. But there are certain people I simply do not really warm to and who don't get me. My partner at work I am tied to for the next few months. Bit like that. Nice enough I guess but we do not seem to connect. Shame. We are assessing together and have to bounce ideas off each other and there is nothing there at all.
I2 today is not i2 of yesteryear. It is a knitting circle. Those that participate be they nice or asshats know their place and the price to be there. Odeon is the overlord

.Benevolent if you toe the line.

Think it is I2 of old? Even Odeon is not so delusional as to think otherwise. He may on occasionally pretend otherwise but his base is that knitting circle.

Censoring/banning/restricting/moderating myself, Calanadale & Scrapheap were all not his finest moments.

Having known two people from these industries, I've concluded that the U.S. falls third in security precautions to the following two:

Number 2 - the gaming/animation industry - there's a lot of overlap between the two. And a heck of a lot of security. Very few unintentional leaks, too for all the games and films that are made. I think they come after you and kill you if you commit a tech leak.

But the all time number one in security - Ma Bell or her equivalents in telecommunications.

If you see a building with no signs or indications of what's inside, no windows, one door and a parking lot, suspect telecommunications. I dated a woman who worked in this place and they actually had no lobby. I wanted to bring her lunch and she said there was no place to leave it. They would not take it at the door and there was no lobby. Based on having taken her to work a few times, I have been able to spot these in almost every city where I have lived.

The bathrooms at work have just been freshly painted ... in really ugly colors.  :zoinks:

Salty pig meats have nuances to their aromas.  My neighbors were recently cooking some pig meat, and at first
I thought it was :bacon: then sausage, finally I realized it was ham.

The whole building eventually smelled deliciously of grilled ham.

The house still smells of knieperties. Different recipe than Wikipedia gives, and better of course, handed down from my grandmother, and enhanced by daughter and me.
In the distance some people are setting off some last bits of fireworks. The year is getting back to relative silence after yesterday night.
Do like the days of, but will not mind the world getting back to something like normal come Tuesday.
