Silence of the Lambs has a long term affect
Nearly midnight i discover i am using the last of the milk. Shit. Then i see Hayley next door putting her bins out and i ask her if she could keep an eye on the sleeping urchin while i go to the garage. The only place open is about 3 miles away and just before i pull onto the main A38 road i see a guy in a wheelchair. He is struggling to move it. As i pass him i look closer to see if he just looks pissed but he really really seems exhausted. In the time it took me to go to the garage and back he had progressed about 15 meters.
If i had had my man with me i would have stopped to see if he required any assistance but i couldn't do it as i was alone. All i could think about was Silence of the Lambs
It bothered me so much i just phoned a mate John who is a taxi driver and he promised to go check it out when he has dropped his customer at the airport.
I hope he does, and i hope the man is OK.
