Do you have a furry side on the bottom of your weeble?
No. Weebles are smooth.
Wow! That was a close one!
I can not totally express my fear of weebles.
No need to fear us! We are as innocuous as kittens!
How can this be comforting for someone who has lived with felines? Cute, sure, but ferocious at the same time. A lethal combination.
Cats are ferocious, territorial predators who can see in the dark, even well below our visual spectrum meaning they can see the body heat of their prey without the presence of what we might call visible light. They hear four octaves beyond human abilities and have vicious fangs and really sharp, effective claws which retract while stalking so the claws can remain sharp and their padded paws ensure silence upon the prowl. They have sensing hairs positioned all over their bodies like whiskers to feel the slightest motion in close combat or hunting situations. They have olfactory facilities that endow them with the power to sense the past presence of their prey and follow the scent when needed. Their reflexes are even beyond the most basic of muscle and nerve only reptilians, proven by the fact that they are capable of capturing eating all manner of reptiles.
Cats may be the crown of creation. Certainly the crown of hunting prowess in most evolutionary investigations. Interestingly, they are not that different from about two pounds or so to over seven hundred pounds in the case of tigers.
I actually have a little grey tiger kitty who thinks I am her friend and I love her dearly. I can not imagine from where her respect and (I want to personify here) love for me emits. I have a great deal of respect and love for her. I would not want to be one of the errant, courageous mice that try to wander in during the fall of the year. Short work on that task, for certain.
Lethal combination, indeed!
