It is. And I'm glad of that. I don't see why we needed to make an extra thing just for same sex couples though. It would have made much more sense to just make civil marriage available for couples of any sex, without forcing them to broadcast it to the world
It may very well be that way some day, but the glass is still half full for same sex partners in the UK.
