"Don't let the bastards win"

Yes I do live by this motto.
Not even the friendly bastards?  ???

OK maybe they are OK
I2 today is not i2 of yesteryear. It is a knitting circle. Those that participate be they nice or asshats know their place and the price to be there. Odeon is the overlord

.Benevolent if you toe the line.

Think it is I2 of old? Even Odeon is not so delusional as to think otherwise. He may on occasionally pretend otherwise but his base is that knitting circle.

Censoring/banning/restricting/moderating myself, Calanadale & Scrapheap were all not his finest moments.

Apparently either SMF or Youtube doesn't like the way videos are embedded here so the video I posted didn't appear (I've posted plenty of videos with no problem, and I tried multiple times with this one, but it just doesn't work, so here's the link to the video I was posting:

My Father used to bastardise the expression of "There is more than one way to skin a cats to "There is more than one way to root a cat". I never really got the inspiration of this model of expectation.  :-\

Yesterday I put my Swiss army knife in the dishwasher and.. that's not a good idea at all. Yep, could have known but.... Thing is now the two red plastic sides of the knife are lose due to the hotness during the washing program and the expending differences of the metal and the plastic. The glue between the metal and plastic kinda dissolved also.

Think I'm going to make two new sides for the (good quality) army knife myself.. by replacing the plastic sides for nice and durable wooden ones.

(um, lesson here; don't put your Swiss army knife in the dishwasher)(and oh, maybe see 'a bugger occurred' more as a challenge (trying to solve it creatively) than as a (big) problem)(um, blahiah.. surry)

The washing machine followed by the dryer produces the same results.  I used mine without the sides for awhile before retiring it to a position as an emergency knife in the glove box of the truck I had at the time

^ Yes, same thing, same results.. and I could use the knife without its sides but think making wooden replacements would/could be very cool. There is a brand (yep, Swiss) that uses walnut wood for its knives sidings.. and that looks quite awesome.

(example.. )

Bet I can do that too.. just need to find the perfect (wood/metal, water-resistant) glue to use here.

I would assume it's kept in the garage rather than the bedroom?

That depends on just how kinky you are and your tolerance for pain when it's removed
