Hmm, do not really do pride much.  A few years ago I managed to keep going an exchange of small talk with a cashier in Sainsbury's which I felt proud of for long after.  It is a rare event.  Pathetic but true.

What aspect of photography captures your interest at this time? Have you educated yourself about photography, in general, or just bought a camera and like to take pics?

In reverse order:

I am on the way from the latter to the former.  I used to have a point-and-shoot camera which meant I did not need to know anything but it was too frustrating because it was so limited so I have not-so-long ago upgraded to a DSLR.  Picked up all the technical knowledge quickly enough, now having to teach myself to put it all into practice.

My photography interests are in landscapes and sports (well rugby league), annoyingly expensive as it means long and wide lenses.  Part of the frustration with my old camera was that for sports it neither had reach nor speed and you had to preempt anything by around a second before pressing the shutter.

It is all fun though, right now I just need to keep trying to get myself out of the house and go places so I can practice.

No, I never have, Should I have?  It varies though I would imagine it is whatever "the usual" is but I have not been able to sample others to confirm that.
