Possibly my favorite Top Gear review

Audi R8 vs Porsche 911

Yeah, saw that one recently.

I think the Audi is ugly.

I think the Audi is ugly.

Maybe ugly in some ways...but once I watched the review, midway through I had a stupid grin...I like it.

I looked up the stats...412Kw would make me grin even more if I was driving it.

Jeremy hates 911's.....silly man :dunno:

This is my car

Yes, but watch this review and see a grown man giggle so much about a car.

Yes, but as Jeremy said Hammond is quite mad. ;)

I'd drive either of those proudly. That Bathurst is badass. Love the supercharger whine.
I'd still keep my 911 though.

I don't see the appeal of this show. It seems writen in a real gimmicky manner.  ::)

Mine makes the noise of the ute, and once you drive one, it is quite addictive to feel that when you take off.

You mean gimmicky, so it appeals to the masses and makes a lot of money? How unscrupulous of them.

I wonder what episodes you have seen to form that opinion?  Maybe you should give it a go at watching a bit more of it  -  it's a very successful show with mass appeal.  I think it is funny as fook.

I know a lot of the humour is very dry and sarcastic.  Sarcasm, is the lowest form of wit - so they say.  I live in longbridge,  proud builders of some of the worlds worst motor cars.  I used to know lots of people who worked on the track - they used to plug holes with bubble gum,  use blue tack instead of filler -  churning out the very poorest built cars!!  Sarcasm, therefore, really is the only form of wit.

Clarkson and his gang could deliver an entertaining show even if it wasn't about motor cars!  But here is the main reason for it's success -  it does what it says on the can - it gives us the low down on cars, all types of cars, in a very entertaining way.  It doesn't just deliver the 'tech' stuff which is maybe what a lot of 'tech minded' folks want.  I want to see the hilarious antics they
get upto.

I am gonna dig up some of the best ones -  i reckon you will find them funny ;D

It's fun. All three of them are quite mad but very witty.

I wouldn't call it unscrupulous, more like cheap in a attention-whoring kinda way.

These things offend purists like me.  :M

I'm a 'tech minded' folk.  :P

I would like the kind of car shows that most people find boring. Like what year the factory changed the casting numbers on the differential housing. :nerdy:
