Loooooove the E-Type.

Was my first car I lusted after when I was a kid.....had a picture of one in my room for years.

......then I discovered the Porsche 911.

It's a good thing too. The British hadn't yet discovered gaskets.

Hey, here's one for ya: Why don't the British make watches??
... because they can't figure out how to make 'em leak oil !!!

My Jag doesn't leak any oil.

The British have finally aquired the technology of gasket making.

Nah, it's just a fluke. The Jag specialist I bought the car from did urge me to check the oil regularly.

I have owned a Jaguar. It was a total piece of shit. Never parked anywhere without leaving "DNA" evidence in the form a constant oil leak. Damn thing could hardly pull itself out of a corner, either.

Mine looked like this:

It was a sixty seven. Surely the newer models are more capable of containing their fluids. At the time I simply passed off incontinence of bodily fluids as being synonymous with the keeping of a stiff upper lip and a faggot accent.

Never owned a Charger, though. A little jealous, actually.

Have to differ with you re American cars. I have yet to drive one without quality issues, from the plastic that the bloody things seem to be made of these days to the disproportionate engines and the ridiculously soft suspensions second only to Citroens.

I owned a Taunus once. I've never owned anything more instrumental to global warming, yet without any reason to. Why it required all that petrol is a mystery, but I know what happened to the oil.

Oh, yet another Euro-trash moron who thinks that American cars suck.

Because European car manufacturers have never produced a "lemon", right? :orly:

I agree with Odeon on this one. Older American cars might have been good, but new American cars have a really bad reputation.

I knew a woman who worked with Ford. She was the only one who drove in an Asian look-alike of a Ford. Her costs for keeping the car were a lot lower.

And about European lemons. Southern European cars are a great source for bitching.  :green:

When I was a kid, we had a school trip to a Ford factory in Poland.  We also went apple-picking.  That was a weird school trip.

I heard some people ordered a Trabant and had to wait like 10-20 years for it to arrive. How sad. :'(

There's been plenty of them but the thing here is that you wouldn't know. Get back to us when you have a license and at least a few months of driving experience. As things stand, you are simply embarrassing yourself.

Oh, just because I don't have a driver's license and any driving experience means that I'm not allowed to discuss this?

That's insulting to me. I have explained a few times on here that I don't have anyone to help me get a driver's license and I don't have the money to get a car.

I wasn't lucky enough to have family and friends to help me successfully transition to independent living.

Now stop being an asshole to me, odeon!

why don't you save up for driving lessons??  i saw in another post about you returning something (maybe a game card??) but anyway you said you were waiting for a refund, i think it was over a hundred dollars,  that would be a start.

no one helped me either and my first car cost twenty five quid and was a right bag of shit!

Maybe you could approach a local disability organisation and explain that you'd like to get your license?

They might be able to put you in contact with somewhere where you can learn to drive so you can be independent.

Yes. It disqualifies you from any kind of informed opinion and dismisses you as the boor you are.

What's really insulting is how you think everyone else should help you without you ever actually having to take responsibility for anything. You whinge and you natter on about your misfortunes on the one hand while insulting people or their children on the other. Stop being a moron and an arse, and I might consider treating you better. For now, however, you remain target practice.
