Yeah, the Jaguar E-type is a pretty awesome car. Know very little about its performance but qua design it's uniquely beautiful.

Um, another example of a really beautiful car, imo, is this..

(a Citroën DS 'le Paris'.. specially design by H. Chapron, in 1964, I thought)

Yes, it's a good-looking car. A pain to drive, though.

Well, probably not a pain in the ass [lit] for it's said the suspension of the car was quite OK.

Um, (stupidly) I cannot drive a car and wouldn't know if it's a pain to drive really. (I still ride my 4-stroke moped sometimes but mainly bike around, plus train, for transportation)

(oh, that black raped Jaguar E-type is ugly.. not cool)

Actually the suspension is what makes the experience so awful. It *wobbles*, especially if you are attempting higher speeds (anything beyond 20 km/h).

It's fabulous car to drive, though. The twin turbo variant is great but, as jeremy Clarkson pointed out, it will kill you if you aren't careful.

But dying in Porsche at 300 kmph is very  :viking:

You get smashed either way. I would prefer living to drive another day.

Maybe nowadays altered again and again DS's do that.. as in old-timer fixing, I mean.. but.. (?)

Nah, I don't know.. you may be right.. probs takes a skill learned by lots of experience to drive the sucker.

Still.. I love the looks of that car. It's like a piece of art almost. (exhibit it in a large white space.. and.. )

Oh, it's a lovely car. You just can't drive the damned thing. And, as everything french, the electrical systems are even worse than those of a Jaguar.

Loooooove the E-Type.

Was my first car I lusted after when I was a kid.....had a picture of one in my room for years.

......then I discovered the Porsche 911.

It's a good thing too. The British hadn't yet discovered gaskets.

Hey, here's one for ya: Why don't the British make watches??

... because they can't figure out how to make 'em leak oil !!!
