Skunks!!!

Quote
SHEFFIELD LAKE, Ohio - A family's dream home became a stinky nightmare after skunks moved in. They chewed underneath Kerry McCullough's house in Sheffield Lake, about 20 miles west of Cleveland, and started their own family

Hard to describe,  sharp, strong.   I have had really good green weed that had the smell to it before they even used to call it skunk weed.  Most people don't like it

Years ago I read something about skunks that said their scent is one of the worst smells in the world.
I imagine if I got sprayed myself, the smell would be overpowering, but at a normal distance it really
isn't bad; I've smelled far worse things.  The drain in the dishroom floor at work used to back up with
accumulated garbage, and that was a really nasty stench.  Litterboxes are toxic too.  Skunk is OK.

A couple of years ago I saw a man walking around a local outdoor market with a pet skunk on his shoulder. It's illegal to descent skunks here, so it must have been a very happy and well-adjusted animal.

My dog was skunked when I was about 5 or 6. Of course I had to hug the poor dog.

Bathing in tomato juice is fun.  :viking:

There was a rotten tomato in the box at work once.  Once I removed the good tomatoes,
I had to take the box out to the dumpster, couldn't stand to leave it in the hall as we usually do.  :zombiefuck:

I feel bad for the skunks and raccoons in my town,  they have switched to new garbage cans they can't knock over that easy.  I used to hear and see them all the time but have only seen the road kill version since the change

I hope we don't get those cans for awhile. We don't have recycling here either yet.

The recycling isn't bad...the cans I hate. Less picking if they can fit everything in the can. I find a lot of nice glassware and books from time to time.

They will not pick up anything except regular household waste,  put some books or glassware with your garbage and you will get a red tag with a nasty note on it.  You have to bring that sort of thing to the transfer station or put it out for spring/fall bulk pick up,  I normally hide it in bags with kitchen garbage or kitty litter.  They can be real assholes about it too once we had four of five glasses break when the cat knocked over a shelf,  I cleaned it up and double paper bagged it and left a note on it warning them>  On garbage day they came by as I was leaving for work so I mentioned it to them they took the bag tossed it back on my lawn and said it would have to wait till spring clean up :zombiefuck:  Needless to say I don't tell them about such things anymore
