I shop where they don't bug me. I've been known to stop visiting shops where the clerks address me too early.

I shop almost entirely online now.  :asthing:

You can find the same stuff or better cheaper online 90% of the time...and you're not running to 3 different stores because they "don't have it in stock".

Wish I could do the whole grocery shopping gig online.

Why can't you?

SO has to inspect the steak before I buy it.

His dad used to be a butcher.
...and I'm one of those weird veggie and fruit persons.

It would probably work with everything else.

how it is that people think that telling someone a sob story or that they didn't mean to do it will change the fact that they broke the law.

i caught a student who plagiarized from a paper purchase site. he wants me to believe that those carefully edited parts (that escaped turnitin because the material is behind a pay wall) were included by accident because he was using another computer because his child was in the hospital and he's a veteran and etc etc etc.

unfortunately he sealed his fate when in another post he reported that he used to work for TSA.

My father used to get some sad stories too.  One of his students missed an exam because his neighbor's dog
was sick.  Another missed it for the funeral of his grandfather ... his third grandfather.  Whoops.  :fp:

I have accepted the fact that I will never "get" 98% of the people I am surrounded with IRL...and they will never "get" me.  :dunno:

It's a frustrating fact some days.

I will never get why some women like to go the bathroom in pairs or more.

I will never get when I'm walking to work, people make it so difficult for you to cross paths. When I step to the right, you step to the right so we don't bump into each other. This idiot the other day looked like he was trying to do a tap dance in front of me on the sidewalk. I should have thrown him a toonie to help him pay for a top hat.

I will never get my appendix back as I got into a serious car crash last year. I'll probably won't be able to drive for another year at least. But lucky for me, I can walk to work in only 15 minutes and I'm saving a shit tonne of money on gas and insurance, so I'll be able to pay off my apartment faster!

"Here's my man! It doesn't have to stay out and party with his guys!" "Here, let me see that...It doesn't seem to be able to pick up the fucking check, does it?"

I prefer to go to the toilet/bathroom alone so I can pee in peace.

If you find yourself confronted with "the dance", just stand still and let them decide!

I think going to the bathroom in pairs enables the ladies to keep each other company and gossip
in private about how the evening is progressing, while giving the men time to bond and become bros.  :toporly:

It gives them a chance to talk about their mates, co-workers, their sex lives (everything from penis size to positions), and their periods.

Seriously...after spending over a decade suffering from IBS, I've spent a lot of time in bathrooms hiding in the stall when groups of them come in :P...I have heard things I only wish I could un-hear.

According to kids, boys are starting to go to the bathroom in groups now too.

Emancipation?

Kids look at anyone going in a group with amazement.
